Keep up to date on exciting new features and bug fixes to the Wildnote iOS Mobile App.
Version 2.8.6(679) (Released 2024-09-10)
🔎Improvements:
Offline Mapping: Allow users to select a map extant to download for offline use. This requires that a Webmap ID be entered in Project Admin. If the project does not have a webmap, then a Wildnote webmap that contains a basic basemap can be used.
Password Toggle from Hidden to View: Implemented eye icon to touch to view password.
Mapping Orientation Improvement: Touching the Zoom Out button now accounts for project locations that are in Wildnote. Touching the button will zoom out and show all project locations, dropped points, lines and polygons in a project.
Version 2.8.5(670) (Released 2024-08-14)
🔎Improvements:
Back Arrow: The back arrow allows users to discard a newly started survey with no data without having to Save and Exit. Note: if you have input data into the wrong survey, choosing Discard will still Save that data.
Delete Survey Changes: You can now delete a survey when you are in the survey from the 3-dot menu. You can still delete a survey by swiping left on the survey name and choosing the trashcan icon.
Automatic Repeater Collapse: If your survey has repeatable data, such as vegetation data in a wetland form, the previous repeater will auto-collapse when the next repeater is added.
3-Dot Menu Changes within a Survey: Added Exit Survey and Delete Survey and removed Sign Out.
Show Survey ID within the Survey: Users can now see the Survey ID then they are in a survey.
Updated User Interface: Updated language relating to starting a new survey and previously collected data for clarity.
Version 2.8.4(659) (Released 2024-08-07)
🐞Bug Fix: Cross sync data failure if a text answer contained the characters "nil" such as in the word Juvenile.
Version 2.8.3(658) (Released 2024-07-23)
🐞Bug Fix:
Taxonomy Search: Fixed bug that occured when a form had more than one taxonomy list and the selected species from one list were showing in the other list. For example, animals were showing in the plant list.
Survey Duplication on Mobile: Fixed bug that happened under a small set of circumstances when a user duplicated a survey that had multi-check check boxes, then unchecked selections in the duplicate prior to syncing. This resulted in those same check boxes getting unchecked in the original survey.
Temporary Removal of Discard Option: Removed ability for uses to discard changes by touching the Project Name, or choosing option from 3-dot menu. This option will be replaced at some point. Workaround to delete an unwanted survey is to Save and Exit, then swipe left and choose trash icon. Users may opt to close app to stop autosync, as delete is blocked during sync.
